Holy Moly ‘Glad it’s Knight & The Shit’

This story was featured in this weeks Holy Moly mailout (celebrity gossip newsletter)…

Beverly Knight, the fantastic soul singer, was at the after-show party for the Fate magazine awards in Belfast last weekend. A lovely time was being had by Beverly and friends in the VIP area, when they were approached by a young woman with a strange request. Would Beverly mind posing for a picture with a fan who was too shy to approach the soul legend herself? The woman pointed out the star-struck admirer.

It was none other than celebrity big racist and recent house hunter (nice one, Teddy!) Danielle Lloyd, taking time off from Klan meetings to whore her vapid frame around anywhere that might exude a whiff of fame. Beverly was politeness personified.

“I’m sorry, I’m afraid I can’t to that.”

“Why ever not?” asked (what turned out to be) Danielle’s perturbed PA.

“Because I didn’t agree with anything that racist little tramp said in the house.” With that, the singer went back to her conversation.

Shaken, the PA returned to her mistress, whose face dropped like Rod Hull on a windy night. Five minutes later, Danielle decided she had had enough of the party and quietly slipped away.

The big racist.

Beverley Knight receives MBE honour

Beverley Knight has been awarded an MBE by the Queen in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The 33-year-old received the award for services to music, she is also an ambassador for Christian Aid and The Terrence Higgins Trust charities. Receiving the award she said being face-to-face with the Queen she was struck by her “remarkable aura”. After the ceremony she said the award would mean a lot to her and her family, and the people of Wolverhampton. She said she had never dreamt of being honoured by the Queen when she began singing in school and church choirs.

“Actually being faced with Her Majesty right there in front of you, she has a remarkable aura and that is the first thing I noticed about her,” she said. “It’s just impacting on me exactly what this means not just to myself but to my family and to Wolverhampton,” she added. The honour eclipsed all the other awards she had received, she said.

“This is a different league. The MBE reflects not only on my whole career but the work I do for charities which is immensely important to me. “I do not do that to be awarded for it, I just do it because it’s in my heart, but to be recognised for it, hopefully will put the magnifying glass on to them as well.”
